Label me This

Can't wait to try these, Mr. Pen plant labels out! I purchased mine on Amazon. I tried hard not to purchase plant labels simply because I know I have some from previous seasons, but I just can't find them. So, let's go see how well these work maybe I'll do a review on them. Well, happy gardening, y'all!

Welcome to April

Watermelon plants seem to be coming along pretty well, a little leggy for some--but they'll be OK. Have a great day and welcome to April!

A Whimsical Find

Picked up these two cute sunflower pinwheels in the Dollar Tree, the other day. I actually went in the store for some garden tags or something to make my own tags/labels, but no luck with that mission.

My daughter, Kennedy and I walked throughout the whole store looking for ideas. After broswing the garden decor, we decided to search for some diy possibilities. Kennedy noticed these extra large straws that could possibly work. Her idea was for us to cut the straws in half and place a label inside the straw with the plant name on it. Honestly I can't remember how we were gonna to seal the straws to keep moisture out, but trust me we had something, lol.  However, that something was still a bit shaky for us and we decided against the straws. So back on the hooks they went.

As many shoppers do, we took another quick lap back in the section we started our journey in---gardening. As we we went back over items, as we spoke about their cuteness and usefulness, we found the pinwheels. Actually there were other pinwheels in the store, but we didn't like the colors and the overall look.

The ones I purchased are so me, I love sunflowers and yellow's my favorite color. Also I hope to create a fun and whimsical garden area and I feel these will get the job done.

Black Seeded Lettuce

Black seeded lettuce was planted outside on the day of March 4, 2025, its the first lettuce to be put outside and the first group of lettuce to be grown with the blueberries, again, since they did so well together last year.

My daughter,  Kennedy would like to transplant the lettuce to our backyard as they grow, and I think that could be a great idea, however,  we have to stay on top of things. Our weekends are pretty full with spring markets and getting ready for our first ever out of town market----that's right, we're traveling for the first time ever, so yeah, we have to stay on top of all of our plans.
