We all live in the same state, so we can see each other regularly, however, we live on the otherside of town from each other and just the thought of traveling across town can be tiresome. Thank goodness for public transportation more specifically the train. Our transit system is called Marta and I must give them their props for how smoothly and fast the trains ran over the holiday weekend. It actually felt like the trains were running on a normal schedule rather than a longer holiday schedule wait time.
Well anyways we had a fantastic time cooking burgers, seeing fireworks and enjoying an eighties cover band before the fireworks, and we also took in a small hike at a park, the day after and afterwards enjoyed a meal at a DragonBall Z themed Vitamese restaurant. Later that evening, we all settled in to watch the movie, Sinners.
On our last day, we made time for the pool, and it was so refreshing and relaxing. I absolutely love being in the water and I was so happy to have my granddaughter in the water as well. She's 9 months and she absolutely loves the water, too! She liked her floatie, but she loved being out of it way more. She held onto my arm as I slowly walked around in the pool as she kicked her little legs. She did an amazing job in the water!
All in all it was a great time, had!
And before we kicked off our holiday weekend, I picked a pretty nice harvest of pepperoncini peppers!
